A Ruined Gift I Like
My daughter bought me this as a gift for Christmas and paid for gift wrapping. Peter Millar immediately confirmed “my purchase” by email to me, as though I’d bought it. Then they confirmed shipping to me. This included a picture of the sweater vest I’d “purchased.” It arrived with some blue paper to wrap it, but it was not wrapped. Peter Millar emailed to tell me it had arrived, again with a picture. I wasn’t sure if I should wrap it, or just put it in my closet and ditch the paper. If my daughter wanted to surprise me, which I’m sure she did, she hadn’t much help, though I didn’t tell. The sweater is actually quite nice and I’ve already worn it for golf a couple of times.
