Both of my boys live in theses shorts and they hold up so well they get passed down. I only wish you made men’s shorts in a size 28 or an XXL in these youth shorts. My son is in the extra large in these shorts and I’m fairly confident 30 inch waist in men’s is going to be too big.

Sizing is off (runs very small)
These shorts seem well-made, but sizing is not accurate. The waist and legs fit okay but there is not adequate room anywhere else, so they aren’t able to be comfortably worn. Cannot return them per the return policy. A bit frustrating.

Youth Salem shorts - inseam length update
I bought these shorts in YM last year and there were no notes on the website about length/inseam. On YM the length was appropriate - about 6 3/4 inseam. The website has been updated to reflect "9 inch inseam" on the description page, order page, order summary, etc. I assumed we would need to get the shorts altered as they were being made much longer. Not the case - Confirming that YL is a 7 1/4 inseam. Very happy with the purchase (year over year!) and happy I do not have to get them altered.

Long Length
I finally found shorts long enough for school for my skinny, long legged son! I originally ordered the medium as he wears a size 8/10 but they were really big so I sized down to a small and they fit perfect. They also have the buttons on the inside so you can cinch in the waist if you need to. The fit on these is much longer than VV, JO, TBBC, etc. Very pleased.

Great shorts for youth boys!
Okay we love these shorts. My son plays golf and he also wears these often for nice occasions. We bought a khaki and navy in medium when he was 12. They have lasted two years and just repurchased same colors in large. We have tried Nike and Under Armor Golf shorts and the quality of the fabric is not as good and they don't fit as well. The main thing I love is the fact that everything dirty wise comes out of this fabric! This will be a life long purchase for my son for sure.
