Great jacket.

Suffolk coat
I have a black merino wool Millar zip jacket I love; almost formal and quite warm. But often too warm in Orange County, CA. The Suffolk coat is perfect lighter weight, looks spectacular; high quality and very functional. A real gem and a keeper.

Quality does not hold up over time
I bought this jacket about a year ago and was very excited about it. I live in the south, so I do not get too much wear out of it. When I got the jacket out of this year, some of the threads became loose along some of the seams. Also, the buttons on the jacket are starting to tarnish. I reached out to the quality control team, and they responded that these type of quality defects are to be expected. It is disappointing that the quality control team expects these types of defects in a jacket that is marketed as a long lasting, luxurious, and quality item. This is the first time that I have actually been disappointed in a purchase.

Navy Blue Suffolk Men's Cost
Our second Peter Millar Puff jacket. Quality doesn't seem to have diminished, as is often the case with a repeat purchase. It's comfortable, durable and the first one shows no sign of (serious) wear after 5 years. Love Peter Millar products.

The size is cut too small. I wear a medium and everything is too tight. The arms and body of the jacket are tighter than the same style I bought five years ago.

Updated Jacket not as good as old one
I was gonig to buy a second jacket and the vest as I love the ones I had bought several years ago. Do NOT. The updated one is lower quality, missing pockets, and a complete disappointment. If Peter Millar wants to maintain being a premium brand then keep the quality high and charge a bit more. You are going the way of other brands that cut corners and it will ruin you. Lost a bunch of sales from me.

Perfect fall weather jacket.
Perfect fall weather jacket. When the temperatures dropped to those refreshing temps after an unusually hot and long summer, this is the "coat" I reach for when I need more than a sweater. It is light weight but warm enough for this time of the year. It is a quality piece from a company whose quality on which I have come to rely.

Listen to your customers
I’ve loved everything I’ve bought from PM, but the Suffolk Coat I got a couple of years ago is without question my favorite cool weather jacket of all time. Comfortable in pretty much any temperature between 30 and 60, and fits perfectly. Very disappointed to hear that several of the features that I liked best about it (like the multiple interior pockets) have been changed or removed, and that seems to be the consensus in the reviews—virtually no one familiar with the old version likes the new one. Sounds to me like your designers clearly missed the boat on this one, and I’ll just have to make the old one last longer.

Previous model was better for my taste/use
This is still the same jacket - nice piece for travel and to layer up or down thanks to normal to loose fit and structure. The lack of inside pockets on the current year jacket makes me feel vindicated in having the older version (maybe two years ago) in all three colors. Older coat has six interior pockets; three of which are zipper closures. So important for going through airport security. Peter, are you listening or merely having AI say that you’re listening…

Very Poor Quality
I don’t usually leave reviews, but I felt it was necessary for this one. The first coat I received had a faulty zipper that broke after very little use. I contacted customer service and was sent a replacement — unfortunately, that coat had its own defect. One of the panels wasn’t properly stitched, leaving the cotton/down exposed right out of the box. I expected much better quality, especially at this price point. I would caution others before purchasing — based on my experience, the quality control just isn’t there.

Cheaper replacement
I recently purchased the new model and was very disappointed. The version I bought a few years ago was far superior—more comfortable, higher quality, and with greater attention to detail. Unfortunately, the new model feels like a cheaper replacement of what was once a classic coat.

Bring back older model/features please
The new model feels like a step back from the version I bought two years ago. It runs smaller than expected. I miss some of the thoughtful design touches from before—like the soft interior lining, the extra internal pockets, the refined cuffs, and the overall tailored fit.
While I appreciate the effort to enhance durability with a tougher outer shell, the trade-off seems to be a reduction in comfort and utility. If the brand could bring back the original features and merge them with the improved shell, I think they'd have a winning formula again.

Spring into Change
I recently purchased this jacket and have enjoyed wearing it. Truly, this jacket is different from past years. I have an assortment of these vibrate colored jackets and vest. This jacket doesn’t have the coziness, warm presentation, and the interior cloth lining and collar. However, this jacket is light weight and fits comfortably. I like the new style collar. It should require less care. Suggest wearing layers in the fall or winter. I purchased a XL. I’m 6’0, 220 lbs. Athletic build.

Great jacket
Love the jacket, now have 2 of them. The only reason for not a 5th star is because the new cuffs aren’t small enough to stay on my arms. They just slide up and down. Kind of disappointing but still a great jacket
